Dr. Peter Canisius Lugonzo is a Veterinary Doctor, currently working as a Veterinary Officer at the County Government of Kakamega, Kenya. He is also a lecturer of Veterinary Pathology and Microbiology at Bukura Agricultural College. His passion is animal welfare, and he focuses on the importance of preventive medicine. He hopes to promote global health and food security through the adoption and implementation of effective livestock health and production interventions.
Experience
Lugonzo has also worked in the Greater Upper Nile State, South Sudan, where he was instrumental in the creation and implementation of intervention programs focusing on livestock health and production through partnerships between South Sudan’s Livestock department, National NGOs, and Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO). He has skills in the fields of nutrition, microscopy, clinical pathology, diagnostic imaging, and endoscopy as well as extensive experience in animal training.
Education
Lugonzo holds a Bachelor of Veterinary Medicine (BVM) Degree from the University of Nairobi, Kenya. He has also trained in Cold chain and Vaccine management (FAO), as well as Fixed-Time Artificial Insemination (FTAI).
Mr. Danson Mwangi

Mr. Danson Mwangi is a livestock production officer from Kenya. He is passionate about animal husbandry, having grown up in a rural setting and raised various livestock. He advocates for animal welfare and is driven to promote sustainable and ethical agricultural practices. He is knowledgeable in animal nutrition, health, genetics, and production management. He is an excellent communicator, able to effectively collaborate with fellow staff, farmers, and other stakeholders in the livestock industry.
